Absolutely.
There are only 2 windows without curtains, I'll keep well clear of those

My relatives in Ontario don't have curtains  - they live in a 4 bed flat 24 stories up

Well, It's started, there's 5 of them up of the roof making a heck of a racket.

I tell a lie, one of them has just knocked on door to sort out loo arrangements for them
(luckily there's a loo close to the back door).

OH has just been informed that one of the facets have been cleared and the roof timbers are looking good. He was invited by roofer to look for himself, if he's ok with heights. Last I saw, he was up a ladder........

Glad all is looking good on the timbers front.
When we had all our guttering, drain pipes and barge boards replace, we needed scaffolding all round the house. Needless to say, DH was up the ladders when the workmen had gone home. I think he was heartbroken when the work was finished 

Oooo - no curtains CKLD. It's not the privacy issue at that height, it's the daylight issue. I need proper darkness to sleep!

OH did make it back down the ladder safely - phew

Spoke too soon about the timber being good, some wet rot has been found by the chimney, this will be sorted tomorrow. We've been so lucky with the weather, dry & sunny, couldn't ask for more. And, it looks like it's going to stay that way for a while.

Noise, noise and more noise  - I think it's usual for some damp around the chimney as that doesn't get 'pointed' as often as it ought  …….. will you get a break over the weekend or will they press on, taking advantage of the weather?

When I said the timber would be sorted tomorrow............
It turns out that the roofer can't do that, he's not a joiner.
Luckily the person doing the rendering is a builder and has access to the beast, he's going to send one along tomorrow morning. Hopefully it'll all work out.

CLKD you're so right about the noise, it was horrible. The roofers/builders will not be here over the weekend but their mess and the scaffolding will.

They should be clearing up their mess as they go along, our builder does!  Skip arrived yet

In an ideal world they are tidy....we don't live in an ideal world unfortunately 

I have had never had a perfect workman.

My absolute favourite....and I probably shouldn't say this was a tiler that we had years ago. He was recommended by a neighbour. He turned up....late and then got to work. A few hours later I noticed a strange smell coming from my kitchen. I went to have a look and there was my tiler happy tiling and smoking....well not cigarettes 
He did an amazing job but spent the day stoned. He was a hoot but I'm glad he wasn't up on the roof

Our builder made the mess, cleared up even asking me for the hoovery-thingy when doing stuff inside.  He became our regular builder

I opened the back door and let him get on with it. He was brilliant at what he did.....and so happy
