I saw a woman aged about 30 with bright red hair recently and there's one on TV right now  ::)

  :o

Ooo just dyed my hair. I'm normally dark blond but have managed....and I'm not sure how....to go dark brown  :o

Oh heck, not what I intended. I am naturally dark brown, well I was before the grey started, but have been every shade of kind of blond for years.
Even hubby doesn't quite know what to say.

I will forget during the night and get a real fright in the morning I think.

Eeeeekkkk

I have been blonde for years, and decided to go brown with chunky blonde strips at the front it looked great.  After 2 years of that I then went darker brown and where the blonde is went purple, looks fantastic if I say so myself.  Although the purple is fading ...... booooo

This morning I wandered into a salon not used by myself but didn't like the set up  ::)

I hate salons and find them intimidating. All those very young very pretty young things floating about and then they ask you daft questions.

My son also hates the hairdressers. He went regularly to one and him and the stylist came to an agreement. Just a hair cut and no chit chat....worked well for both of them  ;D

What was wrong with this one CLKD ?

They pay far too much  ::) - and don't look like they have paid, far too much ……

There's a couple more salons locally if not I may take myself off to another town ……….

Do they look absolutely awful?

I think you quoted a hairdresser who said, "it shouldn't look as if a woman has had her hair cut when she comes to me" I couldn't agree more - That to me is a good hair cut.

I'm looking forward to getting my hair cut in a few weeks. I am growing it but now it needs some layers and a bit more shape. I've never really thought of myself as being vain but I do like my hair to look good otherwise I feel a right mess.

Go on CLKD, treat yourself to a posh do. Are you wanting something completely different or just a tidy up.

That quote was Nicky Clarke several years ago.  The girls don't look 'awful', simply that they haven't been to a hairdresser, if I pay money I want people to know I've been to the hairdressers!

Tidy up for starters. It's nearly 3 months since my last cut and I had to re-adjust the fringe on my return home  ::)

I think I have said this before but I will repeat how fortunate I feel I am that my next door but one neighbour owns her own unisex salon and it is just 100 yards or so up the road.  I just pay £15 as she gives me a discount  :)

Ah CLKD that's where  we differ!
On some occasions when I've been to the hairdresser and somebody's noticed it's been because the result has been totally dire! - I have just ended up thinking OMG where's the nearest sack to put over my head  ;D

Oh you and me both Limpy  ;D

The good but natural look I think. People rarely notice a good haircut but really notice a bad one.

I could not go that length of time between cuts CLKD, my hair is far too thick.

Well, I've given  up having a cut and finish/blow dry, just have a wet cut now and dry it myself at home. Otherwise I go home looking like someone totally different with hair full of "product"  ???

………. for which you pay!  I've never understood the word 'product' why can't they explain what they have on offer!
