Ladies - Now I know why I'm out and out grey  ;D
Don't think I could handle the stress of colouring  ::)
The stress of haircuts is quite enough.............

I used to do my own colour at home and been every colour under the sun including purple (except for out and out blonde). Have been a dark blonde now for a few years but going red soon. Fingers crossed. Have a girl now who comes to the house and cuts and colours.
You could try lemon juice HB to see if that lightens it - otherwise multiple washes with Head and Shoulders may do the trick.
If all else fails, redo the colour.

It's kind of growing on me to be honest. My last colour was not great. I have quite sallow skin and I'm naturally dark brown. This is the first time in years I have been the colour that I was born with. My daughter says it is great and has taken years off me. Not sure about that.

Like you bramble I have been all sorts of colours. My hubby says my mid life crisis only changed my hair  ::). I turned forty and went blond.....and it went from there.

I would still like to be a little lighter but it will fade soon.

Not until Friday CLKD.

I might lighten it a bit soon if it doesn't fade.

Not much chance of sitting in the sun 'up' there?  Don't wash it too often or it will dry out!  How about vinegar?

I wear a cap but pool chlorine seems to have made it half a tone lighter already. My face comes out white, so do my arms. I think they've up the chemicals for the school holidays  :o

Vinegar.... :o. Don't think so.

Decided just to live with it for a while. It will be fun to see if mother notices it in the morning. All depends what she has on her mind as to whether it clicks that something is different  ::)

Lemon juice would be less whiffy than vinegar, but sure it'll fade in time.

I find it less flattering towards the end of the day.
I'm tired,my makeup has worn off.....and my hair is too dark....umm not a good look. Hair dye here I come....in a week or so, I don't want it all to drop out

Will you DIY or go to a salon?

DIY Limpy. I couldn't sit for that long in a salon. I have had a few hair disasters over the years but not that many to be honest.

Not yet though. If we could just get a bit of sunshine it would lighten really quickly.  One more reason to moan about the weather  ;D

Just give it a little while longer.
Think the weather may improve next week, the sun could reappear.........

It's Scotland  ;D......yet another thing to blame on the weather.

It's not that bad, just so different and I don't know why because it's my "natural " colour.

Problem is I've not had that for years....it does match my eyebrows though  ;D

My daughter suggested I start dying my hair! ERM nope! She asked why. I told her that many are envious of my natural hair colour which nowadays is a fairish strawberry blonde/grey.  In my twenties it was an auburn shade. I'd never pull off that hair colour now though.  Last time any colour went near my hair it was highlights. My hair is so short now I'd need it done every couple of months. Way too expensive!
