Hi, I posted here a month ago feeling very miserable due to my HRT and it was suggested I go on Utrogestan. My doctor agreed to prescribe it along with Elleste Solo, and I must say I am feeling much better, and almost normal.

However, I have a couple of questions. Rather than try and work out a cycle (I'd not had a real period for over a year at that point, just breakthrough bleeding last year), she told me to just start taking them both immediately. Within two days I started a massive period which went on for a week, very painful, huge bloating, heavy bleeding, the reason why I saw a specialist two years ago (at which time I was taking Tranexamic acid to try to reduce the heavy bleeds).
My first question is that I am taking one tablet daily as prescribed, but I notice the leaflet says to take two tablets. Is it a mistake by my Doctor, or is it usual to take one despite the instructions? My second question is, is it possible take Utrogestan like the pill and carry on taking it so as not to have a period? I don't think I can go back to days of having such heavy periods, they are just too debilitating. I'm due to see my Doctor again on Friday, so if I can suggest something I would be happier.
Thanks for your help!
