haha CKLD, I doubt I will get an hour but to be honest 10 mins will do if he just puts my mind at rest, no price for that! yes the practice nurse would have done it at my surgery but it meant waiting until 8th May and the way I am I would be a mess by then. As it is I haven't been able to eat since yesterday morning, so 2 wks to wait is not possible. Definitely will report back and thanks!!

Mandy my heart goes out to you. Don't feel frightened or stressed - you are not alone with these symptoms or in fearing visits to the doctors. These are normal reactions. I have had those weird periods as well and have also been freaked out by them. We are all here for you -feel free to PM me if you want a chat. xxx

If you are paying for an appt. you should get at least an hour
…….. because Consultants usually factor in an hour per patient initially.
Maybe the Consultant had an emergency, therefore the appt. needed to be put off. Doesn't help your anxiety state but at least it wasn't postponed for too long!

I think my periods may have started properly now, if the last 2 wks wasn't the period, as it's got a bit heavier now... question is, am i still ok to see the gyno if I am bleeding? anyone else seen a gyno whilst bleeding not just spotting?

Hi Mandy
Yes its fine, I saw the Gyni more often when I was bleeding than when I was not during Peril!! They don't mind if you don't!
Sorry you've had to wait even longer, hope it all goes well

It's ok if you are bleeding. What time is your appointment?

You'll be fine. Do you know how long you have to wait for the results?

Oh bless you mandy,
I had similar experience with my gp last year worrying me silly about irregular periods, all turned out to be fine "just" perimenopause. I also had a fright last year after an xray showed a shadow on my lung. I paid to have a private mri scan, to find out i had a broken rib i didn't know about. It's no wonder we get health anxiety! Good luck for later, hugs xxx
