bit of a quandary ladies !
« on: March 15, 2015, 05:13:52 PM »

Ian in a bit of a quandary,I'm due to go abroad in 3 weeks!

I have just started on mirtazapine and this helped with anxiety, palps, sleeping ok,so no longer need to take Zopiclone and diazepam,( swapped one medication for another )  :-\

However now don't know whether to start the new regime ,tricyclic oestrogen only then put ugestorone at end as suggested by gynecologist or stick with femoston conti 1/5 until I get back ! I'm sure it is the continuous progesterone that doesn't agree with me ,well I think !  :-\
Just scared to do something new before going away although when I was oestrogen only for 2 months prior to going on femoston conti I was Ok this latest upset has made me very nervous of doing it again don't know why! Things have settled somewhat but I know I'm far from being " right " and know there's room for improvement. Due to see gynecologist on Sat but could put it off a couple of weeks I guess .

Any input as usual greatly appreciated . Xx

It's Trial and Error - if you feel you would cope more on your holiday with how you feel 'now' then stick with it!

:thankyou:  lots better!  Do you keep a mood/food/treatment diary for checking back to see how each week has been?

The mirtazapine has helped with anxiety, palps ,sleep but it's only been 5 days SO still very dopey all day ,no changes there then  ;)

Guess I need to wait longer to see if mood lifts a bit. Apparently if the dose increases the sleepiness diminishes but moods lift ,can't get my head round more is less. :-\

Hope your trip wasn't too taxing .  ;) x

Surprisingly we got away with a fairly good weekend!

I am glad that the Mirtazapine is helping!  With a bit of a tweak I think you'll do fine on it.  I'm kind of 'hung over' most mornings but it is better than the anxiety and depression so I have accepted that nothing will be exact!
