WEll I really wish that type of diet helped me.  All the pulses etc give me dreadful diarrhoea so I have to be very careful not to overdo these highly healthy things. Sadly it doesn't always help but its good to try it anyway and its a good diet to follow for general health at any age.  DG x

It's good to see an article in the media that actually acknowledges the existence of menopause symptoms but the diet is not a 'one size fits all' formula - unfortunately, like Dancing girl I can't eat the majority of things on that list owing to lifelong IBS that has worsened since the onset of menopause.

Thanks for posting this Jenna. I don't usually look at the news (except for a quick flick to the beeb on the ipad in the morning) so I would have missed it.
It will be interesting to see what they say during the week; especially reference to the latest thinking etc.
I hope they're articles are objective and emphasise that we are all different. I don't eat a diet quite the same as the one they suggest, but do eat well and that hasn't helped much! xx

Soy,  unless the fermented Japanese stuff ( cant remember what  its called) is proven to be no good for any of us including animals. NOt sure either about too many pulses , moderation in everything,

My diet is very similar to the one in this article. However I can hardly say I am "sailing" through menopause! More like my boat is being slammed into the rocks from time to time.   This is no pleasure cruise  ::)

The recommendations are probably a pretty good idea. But they make it sound a little easier than it is. ;D

I like that comment Sammy - the boats slammed into rocks - lovely!!
Has anyone seen the second article? I thought the one from last week said it was going to be a different topic each day this week. I can't find anything!

If you search for Mail Online yes love alive, you will find it. I thought it probably not wise to post a link as there is a lot of advertising!

Just read the latest article.  Really good.  Covered libido, anxiety and mood changes plus Vaginal and bladder problems. Quotes and advice from top gynaes and links to other sites as well as MM.
Does seem to push certain products though - Jenna, I understand you concern about posting the link on this site.
Still a good article.  DG x

Sorry but as soon as I read this I was looking for what they were selling/advertising.

"The good news is that simple lifestyle changes can do much to ease all but the most severe"

Lo and behold I didn't have to wait long as at the bottom of the article they have an advert for someones "related" business.

If only it were this easy.

Perhaps this "easy" approach and view is truly at the heart of the problem.

Oh way too many to list here.  All by men naturally, whose ignorance was phenomenal.

But there you go.  I hope I've managed to teach my own sons to be more open minded and understanding.
