Strange patch on back
« on: March 02, 2015, 11:31:41 AM »

The last few weeks I've developed itchy patch on my back. Thought it was bra strap. Tried having a look in mirror but couldn't see much. Today saw in a mirror after swimming. Ragged pencil end sized & mottled. Hubby took a look & immediately said "Get that seen to!" Managed to get appointment for this afternoon.  Hopefully nothing.

Good luck for this afternoon - you are doing the right thing in getting it looked at quickly.
Hopefully it will be nothing nasty.

My sister has had quite a lot of similar sounding things CG . She has had them removed by her GP. Latest one is on her tummy. She has them frozen off.

Best to get it looked at and hopefully it's nothing.

Let us know.

I had very similar a few years back Cubagirl. An itchy one under my bra strap that would also bleed at times. Wasn't anything bad but had it taken off anyway because it was so itchy.  It's one thing after another isn't it. Try not to worry. Let us know. x

Hopefully nothing, but near where I had big lump removed years ago. It turned out to be a neuro fibroma & has left a big dent in my back. It's in an awkward place, right under bra strap. I keep shifting the strap, but it always slides back. I've been taking antihistamines to help stop the itch.

Surprised I got an appointment so fast.

Oh heck, post vanished. I have a seborrheaic wart on my back. Got steroid cream for itch. They are common in the over 50s. It may even turn black. The joys of the ageing process are limitless!  ;D

At least you got it checked out CG. I've got something similar and had it removed ten years ago and it's slowly grown back so your post has spurred me on to make an appointment to get it checked.

CG - Glad it wasn't something horrid.
Will you be able to go swimming with this thing?

They don't really hurt CLKD. They itch sometimes though. Having read the link though it says that they wont return once they have been removed but mine has! Definitely need to get it looked at.

Hubby has few of those on his back and my sis has just had one frozen off last week. Something I have not got up till now although I did have a solar keratosis on the side of my nose which was burned off using cream. That took about two months and was very painful.
