Menosan and red clover
« on: February 22, 2015, 07:47:46 AM »

Hi well nights sweats and lack of sleep well and truely back, I'm on sage tablets which helped this really quickly when I used it in the past not this time though but giving it longer see what happens.

Anybody tried menosan? I've read this can help balance and my fainty feelings still getting them every day before meals, I even popped into a chemist lunchtime in the week to ask them to check my blood pressure which was ok, still got to go back for blood tests for thyroid and few other things as the hospital lost the last ones.

Also can red clover help with night sweats? My main symptoms are these, anxiety (counceller appt Tuesday) fainty feelings, headaches must days and tired due to lack of sleep.

Hrt helps sweats completely, anxiety to a certain extent, but gp didn't advise to go back on it!

One day I will find something to suit me lots of you ladies have there is hope, oh gave up on the Agnus castus gave me nausea, it's expensive trying herbal things £25 for sage tablets and Agnus castus!

That's the other thing even though the a cactus gave me nausea in the day, I've been getting this with the night sweats didn't have that before has anybody else experienced this?xx

'fainty feelings before meals' - you've answer your own question, Eat Girl, Eat  ;D

I think you are trying too many products and not paying attention to your over-all diet and exercise regime.  Do you eat breakfast?

I haven't tried the menosan, but I do have the fainty feelings before I eat.  I am not convinced they are because I need to need to eat but eating does make them go away.

Hi Karenja

Is the Menosan a sage product? Sage is definately indicated for sweats and yes, perhaps give it some more time.  If it worked for you before it will again.  Our hormones still going up and down, despite any products we take, so I guess maybe this week your hormones are winning out?

I have had nausea and no idea why - it put me off my food, I just had to let it pass.  Nothing to offer on that front to help I am afraid.

Yes it can be hunger! apart from the porridge and banana there are no slow release foods.  You need more stodge at this time of year  ;)

Pasties are fine, love 'em - DH used to make proper Cornish pasties in bulk then freeze them.   :-* we eat them hot with chips or beans, or cold as they are or with salad.  My fav. flavour is meat with stilton  ;)

What is the menosan and red clover supposed to 'do'  :-\

Currently I eat:

a round of hot toast with butter; cup of black tea with 2 sugars for breakfast
mid-morning - cuppa with a chocolate eclair
Lunch - hot Bovril/toast or; cheese/crackers/celery or; sandwich usually ham or cheese with Pringles/crisps or; what ever is cold from last night's tea  ;) - as well as a pud usually yoghurt or chocolate thingy
Right now I have a pack of 'go' apple biscuits to hand with a cuppa
DH cooks our evening meal: meat/veg. or; fish/chips or; sliced chicken, ginger, garlic with pasta/rice/veg. …….

You may need to bulk up what you are eating.  As a recovering anorexic I KNOW how hard it can be to eat 'right'  ::). I use the dried fruits and nuts etc. during the day 'between' meals.
