Hi everyonesmum,

so sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Don't know if this will help, but try massaging your pituitary reflex, it is underneath your big toe on the pad in the middle, slightly to the side nearest your second toe. you can find a diagram online. When i'm having a bad time my left pituitary reflex sticks out on my toe like a pea. It should be tender if you rub it, just rub for a couple of seconds each evening(both feet). If you bend your big toes towards you when sitting and look down on them, you may see one side of the pad sticks out this is the pituitary reflex. If you find a diagram look at where the Adrenals are located too and massage those gently, they will be tender too. Sorry difficult to explain here. Goodluck and big hugs xxxx

Thank you so much for your replies and Holly I shall be trying your tip, thank you
I am going to see a cbt counsellor who seems to be qualified in helping me.
Not sure if I have generalised anxiety disorder but it certainly feels like it as I am worrying about everything and full of what if what if. There are periods in the day when I seem to be surging and as much as I am trying to talk myself calm it keeps coming back. I am walking for 40 mins a day, I shall start aerobic step today whaen I get the surges. I am praying to the lord that this peri meno is drawing to a close as I am highly suspicious that its the cause. Just wish I could go to bed for a few days, sleep and it will all be gone, cowards way but I have had enough xx

The counsellor I am seeing Monday specialises in anxiety disorders and I am hoping she can tell me once and for all whether or not I have this condition. The last week or so I have been totally hysterical at certain parts of the day and my poor brain would not switch off. Today I am calmer. Looking back over my life I think I probably have lived my life around 'what if what if' and have always put safety barriers in place just in case but I think this is only when I have been under pressure. I also realise I am surrounded by my mum and mother in law who do noting but tell us 'bee careful, mind how you go, wrap up warm' ect ect and that has an adverse effect. Hubby is also inclined to worry and look on the negatives in life. I can see how we can affect our kids by being too risk adverse and I now purposely don't tell my children to be careful when they are off out for a night or going on holiday, instead I say 'have a fab time'
My worrying I would say is 'normal' most of the month but period week it ramps up big time. x

My parents and his were the same  >:( - making problems where there weren't any: 'is he a safe driver?', 'will he get you home on time?'. 'take a jumper/brolley/wellies in case ….. '  but it wasn't occasionally but constant reminders of what I ought to take/do/think/say …..

Trying time right now  >:( - see my other thread!
