Same oestrogen as your conti at the same dose I think.

Could it be a virus, lots going around at the moment.

What are you doing for progesterone?

Amandajane46 - have you just had the Mirena fitted? You could be reacting to the progesterone in the Mirena as it is different to the progesterone in Evoral Conti and perhaps your body is adjusting. Early days.  DG x

Hi I had the coil fitted about 5 months ago n a week later the evoral conti patches but this was to much progesterone so was changed to evoral 50 on Monday and have noticed my symptoms are back

Hi Amanda
It may take some time for your body to adjust  - maybe you need a higher strength oestrogen patch?! AS we get deeper into post meno our hormones continue to drop and bottom out about 2 years post meno - so this could be whats happened to you.
I'd give it 2-3 weeks and if your flushes etc haven't settled down then I'd ask for a higher strength patch or you could try using Oestrogel which you apply each day but allows you to adjust the dosage yourself. 2 pumps per day is a good amount but many women find they need 3 or even 4 pumps per day that they spread between morning and evening to get an even dosage. I'd give things time to settle.

Hi Amandajane

I would suggest your body needs to adjust to the new level of progestogen - it will be undergoing physiological changes but you should being to feel better soon. You would have been absorbing the progestogen in the Evorel and possibly not much from the Mirena, so you will likely be feeling some pmt symptoms eg headahce, irritability etc. You may even experience a bleed.

If you don't feel better in a few weeks, then as Dancinggirl says you might need a higher oestrogen dose.
