Impatient ??
« on: February 06, 2015, 06:20:30 PM »

Hi Ladies, just need a bit of reassurance right now as feeling pretty dreadful. I started Femoston 1/10 a week ago and I knew it would take some time to work, however I didn't think I would actually feel worse.  :'( My night sweats have increased in number, but not in severity, (causing morning anxiety)I have felt really dizzy, and have sobbed my heart out at least once a day everyday since popping that first tablet. The only thing that has slightly improved is my foggy head. I feel so low and fed up, and I know I must pesevere for at least 3 mnths but finding it really difficult. The most annoying thing is that a couple of days before starting HRT I was actually feeling more myself. I am an impatient person by nature so do realise that this probably isnt helping but would just like to know other people's experiences with this, and how long before they noticed a difference.
I also understand from reading other ladies posts that once on the Prog part of this HRT they feel worse, so am now dreading this also.
So sorry to be so negative today.

It is really early days for you, I'm on Femoston 1/10 for past 10 months and it is great for me. Maybe it is coincidence that your own hormones are kicking in a bit? I would not worry about the prog part of Femoston as it is a more natural one and suits loads of women. I find I feel much better in this part and so do many on here. You will probably find when you start the prog part that you will start feeling better. Stick with it and just remind yourself it will settle and you'll feel good or better than you did x

Thanks ladies, feel a little better now home from work and relaxed on the sofa with a small glass of red. I don't know what I would have done without this site lately, just getting how I feel off my chest with people that understand is always so helpful. As my mum always says " a problem shared is a problem halved"

Sorry to jump in on this thread but just wanted to say Honeyb that red wine is the WORST thing for my IBS. Just one glass and I really suffer the next morning!

Glad you are feeling a bit better Essex

I don't drink so wine doesn't affect my IBS.  Have never worked out if there is a trigger but I do SUFFER with slow transit  :-\ ……. red wine however, goes to my head and I have trouble standing up after half a glass  :D

Me too CLKD with wine. I can drink spirits fine as long as I eat too, my SIL could drink red wine day and night with no effect! Hardened to it I think  ;D x

Yes thanks  had a  much better day yesterday, went to my Body Combat class, ( always feel better after a good fight !!) and then actually managed to go to the cinema and a meal with hubby, sister and BIL without feeling anxious. Had a few hot flushes last night and woke up with a little bit of anxiety but not half as bad as it's been. Maybe the HRT is kicking in, or my own hormones are settling down a bit. Don't think the pills would be working that quick, it's only been a week.
