What regime have your GPs suggested to wean off?  I had an AD [can't remember the name ::)] : in 2003 : which I needed to stop - it took 9 weeks on a slowly reducing dosage.  Each day I had the same feelings that I had initially taken the medication for which scared me until I realised that after each 48 hours, I began to feel 'better'.  So I accepted that the awful symptoms would reduce as I reduced the dosage.  Then it was a lesser dose every 4 days then 7 days apart until I was OK.

It was accepting that the symptoms would ease ………. and didn't get worse as I feared.  So do give it a go under proper supervision!

CJ-sleepless - my Gynaecologist won't do blood tests because our hormones are up and down throughout the 24/7.  He only goes on the Lady's symptoms which is better - hormonal blood tests are reliably un-reliable and you won't be doing any harm by taking HRT if it is found to be helpful.

GO by your symptoms !

Thanks for that CLKD I am reassured  :)
