HI CLKD, I waited 6 weeks because that's how long it takes to get an appointment, when you phone up she asks if its an emergency, if it is she gets the nurse to call you who says whether you need to see a doctor urgentally or not, I was told I wasn't urgent! LOL - it gets better and better.......................... just makes me want to scream LOL >:(

If my Surgery get funny about giving me an appt., I go and sit in the waiting room until a GP has a free space - and they do, often, despite what our Receptionist tries to tell us - because they want to close our Surgery  ::) - there is NEVER anyone else in the waiting room …….. I would never wait 6 weeks on the word of a Nurse, I would expect a GP call back …….. after all, I wouldn't be telling the Nurse what I was worried about if I wanted to see a GP  ::) - if I want to see a Nurse then I would make an appt., ……….. 6 weeks is Way and Beyond the 2-3 weeks that a patient should wait.

Hi, I'm 34 and have recently been diagnosed as going through the menopause. Two years prior to this I was told I was suffering from depression and anxiety, I was on a lot of meds, to no avail. I finally changed GP's and my new one listened and said it's the menopause. I was gob smacked, I've had all the tests done to confirm, but I'm struggling with the symptoms, they're getting me down, having to shower 3 times a day, not sleeping, mood swings ect. I really hope you get to the bottom of your situation, maybe try another doctors, it worked for me, just left me with more questions.

welcome BeeBee33 - have a browse of the menus, left of screen and make notes.  Print off info if necessary.  What has your GP suggested, you may require HRT to protect bones and heart.
