Which is the hardest part of the month/your cycle?
« on: January 25, 2015, 07:55:03 PM »

I hear so much about people suffering from PMS and then being at their best in the first half of the cycle. Am I the only weird one who's the reverse of this? I have a massive dip during the week I am on. When my period ends it's the key time  I feel like I could cry at any moment. My spots always erupt after my period, I get bouts of fatigue, tingling sensations and my hair and nails both start  breaking dramatically by about day 5. I hate it and dread it. Anyone else? I'm 42, take Evorel 50 & Utrogestan for days 15 to 26 (when I usually feel at my best)  X

Me too, always worst days after my period, dreadful nausea, anxiety and dizziness. Am starting on progesterone for 25 days of my cycle to see if it combats the fluctuation in hormones.

Think I am going to try the same plan as you Jedigirl. I just hate how I feel at the moment. Has your GP already agreed to it? x

Let us know how that goes for you, will be interesting to see if you feel good all month. I'm right in saying you were on Femoston 1/10 and felt better on prog? Should check back on our posts lol

Hi Millykin,
Yes on 1/10 at mo but hate the estrogen only bit. We'll see what happens on new regime!

Hello Briony

I keep a Mood Diary so can see that typically my mood starts to dip very soon after ovulation. I might get the occasional 'better' day in the second half of my cycle, but overall my mood worsens, and I keep getting episodes of generalised anxiety which can last between 3 hours and a couple of days.

This tends to stop a day or two into my period. Then my mood very quickly improves. I feel optimistic and like the old me, and I find it hard to remember how wretched I felt just a few days earlier. I then enjoy a 'good' couple of weeks until I ovulate again.

I am sooooooooooooooo sick of it, as I am losing half of my life every month. I just want to feel as well as I do during the first half of the month, for the WHOLE month.

Briony
My GP was happy for me to try it. I went with a lot of information from this site so she was impressed I knew what I wanted! Have just taken first tablet. Was expecting a drum roll or fanfare at least! Hoping for a good sleep now. Take care x
