I used to have this a lot. It's better since I changed my pillows to anti allergenic ones and also sleep with the window open.
I also regularly hoover my mattress and have a mattress protector on it.

I think for me it's probably dust and central heating that does it. You can also put a bowl of water near radiators to stop the air being so dry.

I have had allergic rhinitis since 1977.  Eventually I found out that I have a slight allergy to cat dander.  Changing to anti-allergy pillows as well as thorough hoovering in the bedroom makes a HUGE difference.  It is worse when I go from outside in the cold to indoors in the warm  ::): I sneeze++ which goes on and on and …...

Not sure it's actually anything to do with meno to be honest.

It's very common to blame everything on hormones when it has nothing to do with it at all.

If you eliminate as much dust as you can, sleep in a well ventilated room and use the right pillows you should see an improvement.

Certainly I wasn't menopausal when it began but I was on The Pill! and when I was prescribed a nasal spray for the symptoms I had the only break-through bleeding ever.

Blocked nose in the morning is quite common.  I have suffered with sinus headaches a lot in the past. I suffer particularly when the central heating goes on in the autumn.  I think it's down to the air drying out.
I've found using a saline solution spray has really helped.  I started using this spray morning and evening for a couple of weeks and things really improved.  I now just use it when I feel things are really dry in my nostrils.
I am back on HRT again and this has probably improved things as well.
