Feeling rubbish today
« on: January 17, 2015, 03:51:36 PM »

Been pretty full-on at work this week (editor of one new project resigned and about to launch next new project with lots of things to sort out) and have had a couple of evenings with anxiety and some sudden tears. Woke up today (Sat) feeling like I haven't fully woken up, have really sore boobs and banging headache - but only had period ten days ago yet feeling I 'm getting another one. I'm well into peri (will be 50 in four weeks) and am also off to NZ to visit family and friends in just over two weeks which always gets my anxiety going (I have a terrible phobia of illness which really doesn't help). Most of the time I grit my teeth and try to carry on but it's all a bit much today. Thank goodness I postponed my wolf work to tomoorow  - the fresh air and concentration on what I'm doing helps.

Off to your GP for something to ease the anxiety particularly as you are flying …….. NZ for your birthday then  ;).  North or South?

I have a phobia too so could never fly and avoid boats, buses, trains ………

HORMONES  >:(  ::)

I know, don't you just love them? I'm seeing my acupuncturist the day before I go as I find it really helps (don't care if it's just placebo, it works for me). I"d go every week if I could afford it. Don't like taking pills if I can help it - have lots of little remedies and relaxation apps that do the job for me mostly. Will be doing a road trip in the North Island with my friend who's in Thailand at the moment then off down South to family. I love going to visit but not the weeks before or the flight! Doesn't get any easier but it has to be done - and there's a lovely reward at the end.
