I think the old passport will be returned separately, as CLKD suggests.

;D  we don't 'pop' anywhere we proceed in a ladylike fashion  :D - we are too far from the Coast for it to be a day trip unless we get up very very early and home very late  :'(

That's what I do! It's a 400 mile round trip but.. it's worth it.  ;D

I can't get out of bed too early these days  ;) - which is where the camper will prove it's worth during the warmer weather  8)

I think I would like a camper van, maybe in a few years. Would love just to travel for few days.

When friends of mine were wondering whether to buy one or not they hired one for two weeks before making their minds up Millykin.

However: do read the Terms and Conditions before hiring - we thought about it but couldn't pick up the 'van until mid-afternoon and it had to be returned by 11.00 a.m. on the last day.  It had to be hoovered completely and the fuel tank filled.  So in a 7 day holiday that's at least 3 that can't be used! the first when picking it up from the Hire Company; then if 1 goes a long way a day is lost travelling back home in order to service/clean it before taking it back ……

Also it's not always easy to find a pitch in high season …… so booking ahead is important.  We decided to 'go for it' as campers have a good re-sale value  ;)

Milly....if you watch Groupon, there are special come up for camper vans. There is a place near us...PM me.
As CLKD says the pick up and return are not ideal but it would still give you an idea of whether you would like it.

My sister did this many years ago. What put her off was ...they got to the campsite...unpacked...got the awning up and the deckchairs out...next day kids wanted to swim in the pool in the next town....they wanted a run out....pack the whole lot up before they could move....drive to the next town and look for a space to park.... ;D...not many of them.

Then they considered a static van....going shares with us....site fees are just scary although I have always wanted one of those....hubby won't even consider it...he tells me I can have so many weeks away in a caravan for less than we would pay in site fees......guess what I'm staying in in five weeks...yep a caravan....central heating and double glazing though  ;D

::) …… it's OK if you like spending holidays in the same area.  We've done that as well as travelling around the UK …...

Thought they would send it separate delivery as it's no longer important  ;)

They do send new one in a separate delivery - with us it wan't secure or signed for, even though that is what we'd paid for.......
