Painful Periods
«

Did anyone notice that their periods got more painful as they got nearer the menopause? Mine seem to be getting more painful and I was wondering (hoping really) that they are nearing their end.

Nope. Thank goodness. I suffered PAINFUL++ periods from age 13, Feminax ? helped.
I requested The Pill to stop the pain. It helped a lot.

I suffered terrible period pains until I went on the Pill at 17. When I came off the Pill to start a family the period pains were really bad again and it took me 18 months to get pregnant. After my babies the period pains were much less but then I became peri meno from the age of 35.
I was on HRT for many years and toward my late forties the period pains got much worse again with each withdrawal bleed. I've recently gone back on long cycle HRT(I'll have a bleed every 2 months) and I'm hoping the pain isn't too bad with the withdrawal bleed.

I have had painful periods all my life, but since being in peri I still have the pain but they are also very heavy and more often, I have spent the last year trying different things, so far nothing has helped.......
Good Luck
