Christmas Day breakfast
« on: December 07, 2014, 11:50:10 PM »

We like scrambled eggs, with a little grated cheese topped with salmon. Yummy!

What do you have?

We tend to eat chocolate from our stockings (which we open in bed) and then don't have room for breakfast!

Oh how I would like chocolate for breakfast!   ;D But chocolate doesn't like me.  :'(
Due to dietary restrictions it will be the same as usual, poached egg on homemade spelt and rye bread, which I can tolerate. When I was a child we had gammon and pickles. Now I wonder whether that was due to my mums having an Austrian grandfather and traditions were carried on.

Fresh-baked croissants (those ones that come in a tin - I don't have the time or patience to make the dough myself!), proper coffee and Bucks Fizz.  Christmas dinner is so huge in our house that breakfast needs to be light!!

Wish I could eat a Rowie, all that butter would do unspeakable things to my guts.  ;D  Don't usually have anything fussy to eat at breakfast, but will definitely break open the bubbly.

When we were all together Christmas breakfast would be grilled grapefruit with cinnamon and brown sugar, cereal of choice and warm croissants.  This year our daughter and son in law are doing Christmas so I don't know what they will do. My son in law and son may indulge in smoked salmon. It will be interesting to see. I suspect my granddaughter may well breakfast on chocolate  :)
