Tender boobs!
« on: November 18, 2014, 07:28:53 AM »

Hi - does anyone else have sore tender boobies on HRT?  On my second month (peri) and it doesn't seem to have eased off much through the whole month.  Is this likely to settle, in your experience?   Thanks.

Hi Liz

This may not help much as I am not on HRT - but I often experienced incredibly tender/sensitive Boobs about a week before my periods were due & as soon as it came and went they were fine again.. I always  assumed it was due to the increase/fluctuation in hormone levels, & therefore HRT could have a similar effect in some people and nothing bad to worry about..... Am sure lots of other ladies here tho with experience on HRT, are more informed and experienced to answer you...

Hi Liz,

I was on HRT (Prempak and then Climagest) and had sore boobs two weeks before a period. I'm currently not on HRT and still having the same thing. :o

Like Micky says, the rollercoaster hormone levels are responsible. If only they'd pick a level and stick to it!!! ;D

Thanks ladies - mine seem to be sore more-or-less the whole cycle, but I guess that's probably my own hormones kicking in as well.  Hoping it will settle as my hormones level out.  Tried taking EPO but unfortunately it upsets my stomach.

I agree with stellajane - mine were only relieved by reducing my estrogen (I'm on a patch!)

I'm on just over a pump Oestrogel a day, so not sure I can reduce it much.  I did wonder if I was getting too much Oestrogen (being peri), but not sure this would be likely on just over one pump (Dr advised me to start on 2 pumps so being extra-cautious anyway).
