We have literally NO decorations,it's bliss escaping over the festive period,neither myself or OH have particularly great memories of Xmas as children,so maybe that's why we enjoy escaping it so much,oh and the no cooking...bonus 🥳

What ever you do DO NOT BUY a turkey which has been frozen then defrosted by the store.  I had to read it twice in the paper today, I do hope that the media are mis-informed or there are going to be a lot of upset guts on C.mas night    

Poultry is likely to be frozen to avoid avian 'flu - so when buying leave it in a cool place to de-frost naturally and cook slowly and thoroughly.  Or choose something else.

Appanretly chipolatas will be in short supply  go figure, why?

Well,being veggie, I won't be missing much,not sure what OH will have if they decide not to serve it ON THE SHIP ON HOLIDAY

Do make sure if you opt for turkey that it hasn't been reared in Europe .............. where they vaccinate poultry which isn't allowed in the UK 

Why would chiplatas become rare ......... with plenty of Butchers across the country  - it's media hype.

Blimey, I've no idea where mine was reared  . All I know is it's a fresh Morrisons bird and it's paid for so I'll take my chances. If I start glowing in the dark in the new year, I'll know what's happened

We should all know where our grub is sourced from because British Farmers are treated differently to those abroad with regards animal husbandry (ours is better); vaccination is allowed over there but not here ......... how animals are transported across the UK with less Vets and even fewer abattoirs .........

 I caved and put the wreath on the front door on December 1st and dh put the Christmas hand towels in the powder room. Tomorrow we're getting our tree and I am wondering how the pup is going to react to it. She freaked out when she saw the wreath go on the door. I'm hoping she'll be scared of it and not go near it, otherwise we'll be shooing her away all the time as she loves to chew on wood.
