I don't buy gifts for family or even my OH,you just end up buying stuff people don't want or need

I buy for my partner, ex-husband, sons and their wives/girlfriends plus a few close friends. I always ask my sons for a list as I have no idea what they like. Two of them are great at coming up with things but the other one tends to wait till last minute. My biggest downfall is their Christmas stockings. I love doing them even though it gets a bit expensive. Can't possibly stop though as my mum was still doing mine for me right up till she died when I was 49! Luckily my ex-husband and my partner still do one for me. My ex loves Christmas but my partner could do without it. That's one of the best bits of Christmas for me - unwrapping all the silly/lovely things on Christmas morning

Yes we are all good friends! I host Christmas Day in what was the marital home and he hosts Boxing Day in his new place just up the road. We're just lucky I guess that we all get along. He's an excellent present buyer!

DH gave me a hand shovel which cost £2.00 today, he bought himself a Hardy's fishing reel with line. "That'll do this year." he told me
