Got on the wrong bus...
« on: October 29, 2014, 09:01:30 AM »

My fluff-brain has surpassed itself. I have been getting the same bus home from work for 10 years. Yesterday I got on a completely different one, ended up miles away from home. Don't even remember getting on it at the bus stop...what was I thinking!?
Scary :(

It is scary when things like that happen and I sometimes wonder if it is the start of some sort of dementia and yet I know in my heart it is probaby just a menopause brain fart  ::)

Hope you got home ok eventually  :)

I think that's the best 1 yet!  We have threads about 'doing stupid things' etc.  ::) …….. leaving babies in prams outside shops, I left my puppy outside the PO when I first had her …..

When did you realise you were on the wrong one?

I was going to write something here but Mum is chattering  ::) ……….

Sometimes I think that DH believes he has told me stuff but he's told other people and missed me out of the loop  ::)

always good to hear you're not alone, i was thinking along the same dementia lines...normally i can laugh it off but that one was a bit disturbing!

at least this phase of life keeps you fit as you have to keep going back to the shop for things you've forgotten.. ::) ;D

yes probably true  ;D have had to stop getting indignant when people tell me they have told me stuff, used to be quite sharp but more likely they are right these days xx

If we all make an effort together we might be able to remember something occasionally  ::)  ;D

i read some where that this phase is supposed to be the 'age of wisdom'...when's it supposed to start, exactly?

maybe we should have a thread for things we DO remember instead of the other way round... ::)

I have read this is a symptom of menopause. I found that reassuring as I had a frightening incident. I came out of the supermarket and haven't a clue where I was. The sensible voice in my head said don't panic, but drive to the car park over the road and sort your self out. Fortunately things fell into place and I realised where I was. I did start thinking was this an early sign of dementia, but am now reassured.

several times I have come out of the suprmarket unable to find the car!  It's even worse now that our new car is a different colour from the previous one
