Chocolate ……….
…. although the packet of 'fingers' purchased this week are thinner and smaller than originally!
Chocolate elcairs; bananas; various types of yoghurts

I've been trawling my brain cell: Rainbow Drops; Love Hearts; Smarties; Rolos; jelly babies; bubble gum - square packets with a collectors card ……..
I saw a packet of Sponge Fingers last week which brought back memories

We have an old fashioned sweet shop in our town. It has huge glass jars full of every sweet you can think of.
They also make tablet and the smell as you walk past on a cold morning is just wonderful.

When in your area a few weeks ago we bought lots of tablet and had to limit ourselves
Galadriel has reminded me - Black Jacks or Fruit Salads, 4 for a penny; I could never get the liquorice stick to draw up the sherbet lemon
- we have several old fashioned sweetie shops across Northants and Leicestershire

HB you may remember this, Lewis's in Argyle Street, back in the 60s used to sell old fashioned sweeties down in the basement. Every time we hit Glasgow for a shopping trip we'd come back with chocolate coated puff candy, wine gums, floral gums & cherry lips.

My daughter decided to be really healthy today and came home with......a toffee apple

I've found a recipe for a toffee apple cake. Must try it out on big bro & SIL on Friday night.
Used to be a raspberry flavoured lolly which came with lemon sherbet, can't remember name, I loved that. Gobstoppers too.

I loved red ice lollies. Only trouble was I was allergic to the red food colouring and would come out in a rash within hours.
Used to go out to play and be given some money for a lolly and was told.....now don't get a red one. I always got the red one and would deny it when I got home despite having the biggest rash. I always thought I would get away with it
