Royal Mail box collection times are altering
« on: September 15, 2014, 02:51:15 PM »

I can't find out when the latest time will be!  >:( but the note tells me that post won't be collected before 7.00 a.m. on a Sat. and 9.00 a.m. week-days.  Apparently delivery people are now expected to empty the boxes after they have done their 'rounds', well in our village they can walk for miles before they empty their sacks; no trolleys here.  Nor do many have cycles these days  :-\ …….. so it seems that there won't be red vans any longer in the rural areas so expect that delivery people will get paid the same ……..

Has Royal Mail altered collection times from boxes in your area?

Yes - old news I'm afraid CLKD  ::)   Our latest time at most of our boxes is 3 p.m. but there is still one, as there has to be, that collects at 5.30 and a business park one that collects at 7.15 p.m. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-28706022

Can't find any local info on this apart from the small note which appeared on our post box - we were away so have been using other boxes.  We have NEVER had a note of where the latest collection is likely to be from  ::) - neither on that box, at the local PO/shop nor at the PO in town.

For 3 months the 'next day' tap has been empty. I use post boxes often!
