Strictly 2014 Season
«

Well here we are again. Just about the start of the new Strictly season. Sequins at the ready!
Quite a diverse bunch of characters. There is the usual eye candy, plump girl, old bloke etc etc. Will be interesting to see how they all knuckle down.

I think Claudia Winkleman has been fantastic over the last two evenings, a natural comic. Some of the dancers looked really promising and there were some who looked a bit 'oooooh no'. Funnily enough I had an appointment in Harley Street this week and as I came out and was making my way to the tube I saw Greg Wallace coming towards me carrying a hold-all, with a big smile on his face. I said 'Good luck on Strictly' and he said 'Thank you Darling'. On the strength of his performance last night, I think he needs it, harsh but fair

Oh dear yes, he plodded his way through it. Scott was pretty awful too.
Favourite was Frankie. But Jake, Pixie, Mark & Caroline were pretty good too.Alison Hammond wasn't too bad, but dance suited her. Be interesting to see how she manages with something like an American Smooth.

Yes Frankie was really good, she looked a little bit Audrey Hepburn-ish....for week one there were some really good dancers. I miss Vincent and Flavia , I went to see their live tango show in the West End last year, they were amazing.

They are absolutely superb, even hubby who can't dance to save himself, appreciates how good Vincent is.

Love Claudia, I don't really like Tess and I still think a man and a woman would have been a better combination.
Did anyone notice her shouting affecting her mike? or maybe it is my TV?
Very good start, love it!
Booked to see Brendan's show in January. Been before, it was fantastic!
Also seen Pasha's show and Anton & Erin
- addicted? me? yep!

I think Anton would have been good but he must have wanted to remain as a performer. I'm not sure how much I like Claudia and Tess together. They will give us a good show each week but for me there is something missing and I don't mean Bruce. I think Claudia is the sidekick in the way Tess was to Bruce but I'm not sure Tess is a strong enough personality to lead it. Just my two pennyworth for what it is worth.
