Oh I would so love to swim, but am phobic about water. But when it comes to doing exercise, it is finding something you are prepared to persist at. I have started going to a yoga session once a week. I never want to go, but I have paid upfront and don't want to waste my money! I'm hoping this will encourage me to do more exercise generally. I don't think yoga helps in weight loss, but it helps in other ways, breathing, balance, core strength etc. I am feeling the benefits already. I can stand on one foot and not fall over!

Yes, I think it's finding something you will do regularly. The same with losing weight. It's one thing knowing you should lose weight, but you are having to cope with so many difficult things, it is hard. I was only able to lose weight because I was in the right place emotionally. And you are the harshest judge of you! Other people are more interested in themselves. That's human nature! So put on that swimming costume and be proud of you!
