I don't fly

but will be here to accept any boxes of shoes nicely packed until you gets back

I thought about this thread as I was dropping off to sleep last night, remembering my Dad saying 'you're not going out in that' and meaning it

- a pair of cords, which Mum bought from a catalogue and kind of thought that Dad wouldn't 'see' them as jeans

……. wrong.
I wasn't allowed sandals for years, till I was about 9 - they bought me a white pair but within days the button snapped so Dad took them back, ready for a fight, but was surprised when they calmly exchanged damaged goods for money. We had to have 'school' shoes

, shoes for best and wellies. (called rubbers in those days).
Mini skirts

………… <shakes head> but we rolled up our waist bands

trouble was, Dad was a teacher in the School I attended ………. so I used to walk behind the other girls ……..
