sleep deprivation

Hy hope someone can help me im 46 yrs old my body going thru changes probabky like u all the one thing more worrying for me is no sleep...im going weeks on end in the night I wake up then I sweat then it goes I toss n turn alnite then wake up with palps n feeling sick soo fed up really getting me down dnt know how im functioning...I thought sweats wake u up but mine are different so worried  :'(

It was exactly that that sent me off to the GP for HRT. I just could not function on so little sleep.
It might be something that you could think about and discuss here and with your doctor.
If you look at the green menu on the left you will get an idea of what's available including alternative medicine.

A while back I went through a rough patch re sleep, what I did was put ear phones in my iPhone and listen to bird songs, on a continuous eight hour play, I stopped trying to battle with sleeping and found I was asleep very quickly and would wake up with the birds still tweeting.

Also interestingly, the birds would always wake me up and drive me crazy, with there lovely Dawn chorus, but I think I must have been desensitised by the recordings as they have so far not woken me up, and the window is wide open.

Also audio books are good for sending you off too sleep, just need to make sure the author has a calming voice.

I can vouch for audiobooks sending you to sleep, my favourite narrator is Stefan Rudnicki , his voice is calm and very deep.

Listening to EON at the moment, and sleeping like a log  :)
