Just to say hello
« on: April 01, 2014, 05:21:23 PM »

Hi
Everyone
I'm not new to meno but haven't introduced myself properly before although I have found this site really helpfully,so pleased I'm not alone .
Iam nearly 54 and I think I'm called post meno but that's debatable.not had a period for about 2yrs now but still have hot sweats.and insomnia.among other things.
I cannot take hrt ,as I have raised blood pressure, and one kidney so it has to be protected.
I also have under active thyroid,.
Recent virus knocked me for six couldn't  decide what was what,
Just feeling somewhat energy less right now, otherwise glad the suns out at last
Hope everyone has had a good day
Lynn

And just to say hello to you too butterfly13! Unusually for me, I've had a virus recently too so I know how tired they can make you - and worse for you if you are coping with sweats and insomnia.

The warm sunny weather always makes everything seem better doesn't it - the daffodils are amazing down here in SW EWngland at the moment (I imagine they are too everywhere!)

Hi butterfly13
I'm 53 and supposedly post meno but I have all the symptoms still......insomnia being one of the worst as well as anxiety and night sweats..... Here's hoping we get through it happy healthy and wise

I also can't take HRT as I had a TIA.

Nice to meet you

Yeh! The sun is shining! Just been for a long hour and a half walk, through woodland, round fields, rejoicing in the beautiful views and listening to the differing bird song. I didn't meet a soul! This is something I could not have done all last year. Maybe the affects of copious amounts of antibiotics and oestrogen. I'm shattered now though.
