Crazy dream
« on: March 20, 2014, 10:54:04 PM »

Last week I dreamt that "Baddies" were trying to invade our village and the "portal" was the soap drawer of my washing machine ::) The only way to stop them was to keep putting more soap tablets into the soap drawer. How crazy is that!

What on earth was going on in my brain I do not know BUT this week my washing machine won't pump out water and I have to wait till Friday for repair man

What do you make of that then?? Maybe I really did put all those tablets into the drawer  :D

 ;D ;D

I get some right wacky dreams sometimes. Our brains must find some weird way of processing information. I've had one which I've had a few times with slight variations. I'm trying to save children from tornadoes, the wind variety not the jets. Always at the beach too. I'm always watching programmes about tornadoes, I find them fascinating. Though the daft folk who chase them, need their heads examining.

Maybe subconsciously you thought something wasn't quite right with your machine. Hope they can fix it for you. Do let us know if they find a heap of tablets in your machine though. Now that would be spooky.

I had a cracking dream the other week, about being in a room full of big, fluffy white bunnies. I had a baby bunny snuggled in one arm and a big fluffy one on my knee. I didn't want to move from the room in case I woke the little one.

Oh and I had a dream about being in a bread making class with Paul Hollywood ....

Well there were no Baddies in the machine but there were 4 shirt collar stiffeners in the pump stopping the impeller from turning ( hark at me ::) )

And therein is the problem. Well at least it's sorted now. Glad there were no Baddies in there.  ;)

They're weird plastic thingies that fit into little pockets under collar tips. They look a bit like mini ice lolly sticks.
Definitely better than baddies but not as cute as fluffy bunnies ;D

The repair man didn't know what they were either. He thought they were propellers from a toy plane ;D

A couple of weeks ago I dreamt I was Roy Croppers mum !!! ( weird I know, he looks much older than me  :-[  We were in a kind of public hall and he had done a piece of amazing artwork, well me being a very proud mum wanted to display his picture, so I started to put it on the wall, but Roy went into a right strop and he threw his bag down in disgust and stomped off in a huff !!!

I'm still trying to work out what it meant!!!   ???

Everyone with a 'normal' sleep cycle dreams every night - REM (rapid eye movement) sleep is when we dream.  Every REM cycle every night is dreaming - we don't remember the vast majority of them (you usually only remember a dream if you wake from REM sleep - which is not the natural phase of sleep from which to wake).

Sleep research has suggested that REM sleep (and dreaming) is when our brains properly process what has happened during the day - people with disrupted sleep patterns (or who induce sleep with powerful drugs) who don't experience REM sleep over a prolonged period are more likely to suffer with mental health issues related to not 'dealing' with experiences.

The science of sleep is fascinating.

Since halving the BB at night my brain is really busy, dragging up dreams from a deep well.  Last night it was really crazy …….. and went on and on and ………… all seemed logical even though the situation was not one I would find myself in <shrug> ……...

Busy, involved dreams ……… leaving my head muggy even though I can sleep in.  Dreamt that I was in a HUGE antiques store, DH had gone upstairs and I was wandering around the ground floor.  Turned on my mobile and heard DH saying "I've had an accident" - it was his voice and everything - so I eventually found him laying flat out with a lot of mess ……… no one had called for an ambulance and I didn't know how to do so on my mobile.

Now he got locked in a shower cubicle recently; I've had a new mobile; we go to lots of antique places  :-\
