New here-struggling with this peri-menopause
« on: March 03, 2014, 02:20:58 PM »

Hi, name is Kelly.  I have been on BHRT for a couple/few years now. I am 48, will be 49 in July. I am now skipping periods occasionally, had the hot flashes begin last year and night sweats. However, I recently, had a really bad experience with panic attacks, excessive worrying, depression and not wanting to leave the house.     :( Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this? It came on so suddenly. I am now trying Zoloft and having to go up on the dosage *very slowly (liquid form slowly). Side effects are not fun but I have had some relief from the excessive worrying.

:welcomemm:  have a read of the menus - left of screen

Anxiety is a common factor at 'our age'.  I take 40mg beta-blocks at night and if necessary my GP has given me a drug to be used as an emergency.

You are not alone!

It came on so suddenly and it is scary   :(  I just want my life back  *sigh Hoping to get this AD regulated so the excessive worrying stops, I am starting to have some good days.
