Driving Licence

Can one get a UK Licence if one has a current clean US licence without taking a test?

Not sure, think so. But may need to surrender US licence.

A friend lives in Italy, has little Italian and his US licence is not transferrable.

Guess he will have to take an Italian test then.

Very different road system and rules in Italy so not really surprised.
