Would the 2nd World War have happened if the 1st had not?

I was watching the Royals at War which is what triggered my thought patterns.  3 cousins and only our King survived  :-\ ………. the likeness between our King and the Russian Tzar is uncanny  :o

As for that Rasputin  >:( there are relatives in the UK apparently ……….. gt, gts . ………….

Interesting that the Kaiser was anti-semitic as was Hitler …………. and that, had the Tzar and his family been allowed exile in England, the course of history would have been ………. off to see why the First World War really began …… there must have been more than a double shooting to have ruffled feathers!

Germany never seemed to forgive or forget the reparations which happened (well, were imposed / agreed) at the end of WW1.

The physical likeness between the Britsh, Russian and German Royals is scary to look at. Good programme by the BBC.

I enjoyed the different aspect, will need to get the Royal family tree from behind the wardrobe.  I bought a print out from Warwick Castle years ago and framed it so it is handy for historical programmes/novels
