Mobile phone 'theft'

not in as taken but: DH bought a new Vodaphone 'stealth' model 3 days ago and since, when it is switched on, the credit keeps going down, like it is 'talking' to 'something' and being charged for it  :-\ - to me that's theft of his credit as we weren't told at point of purchase that any of the fascilities are likely to be charged for ....... I am TAMPING but he is so laid back and quite irritated (partly because he is having to
decorate  ::) ).

Do any of your kids/grand kids have any idea as to why his credit is being charged when he isn't making a call?

CLKD, is his LOCATION switched to on.  If so, always draining is my guess.  I know it drains battery if on.

He is connecting or downloading something and that's why his credit is going down. Take it it's a pay as you go phone and not a contract.

Called the provider or Google the problem for a solution.

My OH says "he's got an app running that is constantly updating info, like Facebook etc, he needs to find out which app it is and turn it off"

He went into Vodaphone shop earlier today and it was 'something' un-knowingly swtiched on, internet connection I believe - the Very Helpful Girl showed him how to switch it off and he bought some more credit - fortunately it was a few pounds rather than 10s of  ::) but she didn't offer to refund any credit .........

You have to enable these things yourself CLKD so he possibly did it without knowing it therefore the shop would see no need to refund anything as they were not at fault.

Good he got it sorted out though.  It drains the battery quickly too. My phone is always connected and the battery life is not great

The old mobile was not holding it's charge and then it died completely  ::)
