Do or did your periods start light then get heavy then light as they finished or where they randomly light/heavy/light/heavy?

Just as I thought I was over the worse I have had the heaviest day - maybe it is the last of it all in one go  well I can hope, can't I?

It is always difficult to predict whether they are going to be heavy/light/short/long as it depends on whether your body is switching the appropriate hormones on and off.  How heavy was it?

Fingers crossed that the end is in sight!

I think Taz has it right all depends on the hormones turning on or off..my periods got heavier and longer as time went on and also cramps became more painful. I thought periods just got lighter and disappeared but that was not to be and i know thanks to this forum that many ladies have the extended periods also. Mine eventually ended in a hysterectomy (best thing i ever did) after months of  non stop bleeding. Fingers crossed indeed that you have seen the last of it all
