Hi TC - being tired and depressed for me is a sign of low oestrogen. If the Utrogestan is not causing you to bleed then it is doing it’s job and keeping the endometrium thin. X

Can anyone help? I'm on a sequi cycle and I'd like to reduce my estrogel from 2 to 1 pump a day. Do you think I could also reduce my utrogesten to 100mg (1 pill a day x12 days) to maintain the monthly bleed? Hope that makes sense..

I will check with my gp first but wanted to see if anyone had done this?

I have also tried the 100 X 12 days a few times over the last 3 years & I always end up bleeding anywhere from day 7 to day 10  :( I have never managed the full 12 days without a bleed so now I alternate with 100 days 1-3 then 200, 100, 200 & so on & I find this works really well for me & I have my bleed at the usual 3/4 days after finishing the course. I also go roughly every 6 weeks. I'm 57 & almost 5 year's post meno. Due to an upcoming long holiday I was planning on going 7 & half weeks between cycles, can anyone advise if this would be okay?

Good morning Goosieloosie

There quite a few women on the forum who do long cycle but I think most of us are in our 60's but I'm sure it would be ok as a one off. Have a lovely holiday.

Thank you, we have a very busy summer ahead with family plans so I'm hoping to be fully rejuvenated to face it all lol!

Hi Tracey Yes bleeding can be expected in first 6 months of starting hrt. Your GP should have told you this. Any bleeding after 6 months needs investigating x

Is there a natural progesterone that comes in the patch format.? Utrogestan orally causes me stomach upset and vaginally isn't working either. :( I just feel like giving up on HRT all together...

No there isn't . The progesterone used in a patch is Notethisterone.

You could try Provera which is a capsule like Utrogestan. Done ladies find that Provera suits them better x

Why is it not suiting you vaginally?
