Having fretted for the last fortnight about getting HRT I'm just back from my GP.
I picked carefully (female mid-fifties post meno) and she was brilliant! No blood tests or questions - only a blood pressure check. Totally accepted that my symptoms suggested menopause and she listened to my request for bio-identical HRT and prescribed 4 months of oestrogel and utragestan (200mg)

She said that she was impressed that I'd done some research and knew what I wanted. btw she didn't know the brand name utragestan and thought that only synthetic progesterone was available. She had to look it up as micronised progesterone so a heads up for anyone else who may need to explain that to their GP.
Just waiting for the chemist to get hold of it (I live in a rural area so it's a bit exotic for my local Boots!). Roll on feeling better!
Hope this inspires others to ask outright for what they would like
