I only want to show off. I've bought 90% of the presents, cards wrapping paper and new decorations. Never been so organised.

Me too! All presents bought and stuffed in bottom of wardrobe waiting to be wrapped.  I hate wrapping and my presents usually end up looking a cobbled up mess! But heyho its what's inside that counts.  Bought my cards yesterday and hoping to write them up this week.  Cut down on cards drastically this year.  Must get my tree out of the loft (tiniest tree you've ever seen) but heyho its the effort that counts.  Can't say I really love Christmas, especially this year as ours will be depleted , having lost my mum, dad and sister in the last year. But the rest of us get together and enjoy ourselves for the sake of the children. :party09:

Mine are all bought and only the ones still to be wrapped, haven't been delivered yet. Best organised I've ever been.

New skinny tree this year, new decorations. Bought special fairy for top of the tree as I know eldest granddaughter will love it. Not sure when tree will go up, still waiting for new lights from Amazon.

18th is early enough  ::)  .......... I will get the cards down from the loft to sort as well as checking whether the wreaths for the front door need anything added: we have one from 18th until 27th, then one with a dove on for New Year.

I suspect we are going to see Mum as we did last year so have bought the pud, not bothering with crackers, need to order the meat ...... she's doing the brandy sauce and veg..

I wrapped my presents today. A lot of them are going via the post direct to the recipients so that has saved a bit.

Beautiful wreath. :) Christmas cake is in the oven. Yes I know it should be made ages ago, but this is early for me! And it rarely lasts into the New Year! One more to make, dairy and egg free. Most presents bought. Need to buy Christmas cards.

I made mincemeat and the Christmas cake today!

Definitely not bought many presents nor cards - plenty of time for that!

We put up decs as late as possible and the tree - it used to be traditional to decorate it on Christmas Eve and that is how I grew up. Over the years with my family I've relented a little but the tree is never bought or decorated before 20th, sometimes 23rd - and all our decorations stay up for the whole 12 day festival. A lot of them are greenery from round and about so would look very dried up if put up any earlier!

Beautiful wreath silverlady - but don't the berries dry up?

I make my wreaths each year using the same frame of old wisteria - pull out the old stuff and cut new holly, ivy and cypress etc, but again I don't do this too early because it dries out!
