If you are getting symptom control and the pills suit then why would you want to change.

The old saying maybe fits.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Lots of our ladies have great success on pills.

If the tablets have worked for the last ten months, it might be worth staying on pills till you get the dosage sorted out. It's probably not worth changing several things at once, just change one thing at a time.

I changed from tablets to gel, now patches. Tablets had lactose which I can no longer tolerate. Meno clinic changed me to patches as wasn't coping on gel after being on it for several years. Gel/patches are supposed to be a safer way to take HRT, but if you're fine on tablets, I'd stick to them. Changing doesn't always work. But if you feel strongly enough about it, why not speak to GP or meno clinic.

Hi Anjia - it depends how old you are and how long you have been on them. The general advice is if you stay on HRT for a long time then patches are thought to be less risky and also if you are over 60. It sounds as though you probably don't fall into either category so if you are happy with what you are taking I agree with the others - why change yet?

I got changed by the meno clinic from pills to patches, as had weird symptoms so they thought it was safer. If I'd not had any side effects (or weird symptoms!) I'd not have changed.
So many HRTs cause problems so if you're feeling well on them, perhaps don't change?
