Ohh I find that sad, even if there is nothing you need you could still get something like a really nice bottle of wine or chocolates, just something as a token even a silly present each with a set low price. I always have new slippers, the ones I'm wearing now are ready for the bin but I have to wait a few more days, there is nothing stopping me buying a pair myself but they are so comfy to wear new on Christmas Day

We both agree that we don't want or need anything. I barely drink and am trying to lose weight so am avoiding chocolate. So both those ideas are out.We buy each other things throughout the year. He bought me a brand new car in September and beautiful earrings on holiday in June. i bought him some designer T shirts on hols in Sept and I very often buy him a bottle of rum or whisky when I see a good deal on.
We buy each other things all year I have to be careful when I say "Oh I like that!" or in a whisk, were in the shop and it's on my finger
