Help.

I have got femoston sequi, for the first time.
Not currently on HRT, and never have been.
I am on day 24 of my cycle.
My cycles can last anything from 18 days to 43 days.
I think I am in the second half of my cycle.

I am peri-monopausal.

The information leaflet says: During day 1 to 14 of the cycle, 1 tablet daily containing 1 or 2 mg oestradiol.

The pills are white for oestradiol only and grey for oestradiol and dygesterone

During day 15 to 28 of the cycle, 1 tablet daily containing 1 or 2 mg oestradiol and 10 mg dydrogesterone.

Do I take the oestradiol only tablet or do i take the oestradiol and dygesterone tablet please?

Does it really matter if I just take the oestradiol only one?
I don't want to wait till my cycle starts, because it could take another three weeks or therabouts if it is a long one.

The first pill in the box is labelled Monday, so, it would save me loads of confusion re forgetting to take my pills, if I just took the first one labelled monday, which is oestradiol only.

PS I was having my evening meal so I decided just to take the pill described above, the oestradiol only. I figured that all it will do is delay my period.

A tricky one this Dandelion. I would be inclined to take the second lot ie include the ones with dydrogesterone because you are in the second half of your cycle. You may well get an early bleed but still plough on once you've started.

The other alternative is to take double the number of the low dose Femoston conti tablets you were given, for a fortnigh and then start on the oestrogen only ones in your sequi pack. Are you on 1/10 or 2/10?

Pity the doctor didn't advise you really. There is nothing wrong in doing any of it but you may get more out of sync with your own cycle. Taking the oestrogen only is unlikely to delay your period particuarly as your own progesterone should kick in after ovulation - but you might end up with a heavier bleed.

It's all a bit difficult to predcit with variable cycles during perimenopause!

Woops I got impatient and just took the first oestradiol only, cos it was marked monday, and it will be less confusing than starting in the middle of the pack.
Please can I confirm that this will not cause any more problems than just putting my cycle out of sync?
I can handle irregular bleeds and bleeds without expecting them, but I cant handle the moods and anxiety.
