Hi all
At age 42 I had regular palpitations, every day. Felt horrible and not able to ignore them, especially at night. I had 72 hr monitoring and they did find very short periods of very fast heartbeat. Prescribed beta blockers, really low dose at 2.5mg, which really did the trick. Had hot flushes, mad ones where I had to go into a room alone and take off all my clothes to cool down. After a year or so the specialist suggested I could try meditation to bring the heart rate down, which actually worked very well. Proper relaxation guided on the iPad.
Went back on the betas 4 years later and now, 7 years after the original heart to-do, am on hrt, and feeling ok. Very occasional palpitations, once every couple of weeks.
No one mentioned hormones but I am now convinced the whole thing was blasted hormones.
We're all unique so I do hope you find a solution. If beta blockers are needed they really did work for me. Kept the tearfulness at bay, too, although I am happier on hrt.
Good luck
