Welcome to MM Forum
More info re: 'Snap crackle pop' would be helpful. Do you think this is a meno symptom?

Hi dancing girl thanx for the welcome but i have been on here before but thanx anyway, the snap crackle and pop is a sensation in my head which sounds like rice crispies, frying bacon, yes i think its meno related, my sister has only recently started getting the same since she stopped her hrt after having a burst brain aneurysm then having an op to treat another 4.

Sounds like you should see the doctor about this.  It's a new symptom of menopause as far as I know!
 Maybe someone else can help.

I get this - like an electric sensation across my brain and skull.  It's known as 'electric zaps' and is common with certain medications.

Certainly some types of anti-depressant.  Two that I have taken in the last 15 years have given me those sensations.  Enough for me to go 'ouch' as the zap goes through my scalp ...... can never locate where exactly as it is very very fast.

It's a shame your doctor wasn't on the ball enough to tell you that Colleen. It is a well known side effect of SSRI's. Glad you have the answer.

Explain the side-effects?  I suffered until the GP gave me a declining doseage, only prescribed for those weaning off.  Down to a very small amount every other day, then every 3rd day - the side-effects happened with each reducing dose but went after 24 hours.
