Deep clean

My kitten has just spilled a large cup of capucchino over my pale living room carpet.........which got me thinking ............... of getting a deep clean of the house including said carpet. Anyone else had this done and were you pleased with the result?
Do I feel extravagant or guilty? Yes and no!

Every now and again it is nice to have a professional company with the whoomf in their machinary to do a deep clean.  My friend had her cooker done one C.mas Eve! the best money she had spent thus far.  Kittens  ::)  :catscratch:

Not a deep clean, no but a month ago I started having someone in to do my cleaning.  We both work full time and what with dogs and Mum needing more time spent with her it seemed the ideal solution.  Best thing I've ever done - the house is starting to look clean all over.  She only comes once a week for 3 hours but it's enough to really make a difference :)

It's not that I don't have the time, I just do not have the inclination any more. The thought  of going into winter with a sparkly clean house really appeals to me.

It would appeal to me too. I do all the things to keep the house clean but there are corners that need attention.
Moving to my current house has never quite worked out the way I thought it would. I never anticipated my oldest still living with us. The house is ideal for three but cramped for four of us. I also have issues with him being careless. He has ruined the carpet in his room with constantly dripping coffee on it.
I was trying to sort things out this morning and ended up very down hearted about it.....so a deep cleaning company would be great.
How does it work and what do they do also how much does it cost.

I found this from one company on the internet. The cost is £18 an hour and this is what they do

GUIDELINES BELOW FOR THE AVERAGE TIME TAKEN FOR A DEEP CLEAN

Not sure quite what is meant by "deep clean". I always think of it as something that we have had to have done in school before when we were in the grips of noravirus!

That does not sound much different than what I do myself. I was expecting something altogether more...more....deep ::)

Looking at those prices I think I should hire myself out.  ;D

A friend of a friend got one done and they cleaned the carpets as well. I have asked her to get the details from her friend so I can make a decision. Of course I could just do it all myself and then pay myself the going rate. That would cheer me up. And I could spend it on something extravagant like perfume or chocolates!

There are lots of companies in Northants/Bucks area who 'do' deep clean-type services.  Homebase hire out machines too but they need to be booked so no good for me, I'm a spur of the moment person when it comes to cleaning  ::)

I would go for the chocs and perfume. Sit back munching and smelling wonderful and feel smug that it's all done. Morrison's hire out carpet cleaners that are really easy to use and don't make the carpet too wet. All depends if you can be bothered or not.

We have our own but it is too heavy for me to use  ::)  ........ I can push it forwards but not pull it back, due to having had breast surgery all those years ago.  DH remembers where it is about twice a year  ;)
