Parcel delivery
« on: September 27, 2013, 07:31:57 PM »

I have been in all day. Found a card through my front door from H*rmes delivery firm giving a phone no. to call to rearrange delivery. The phone number does not work - it does not even ring. No other method on card to contact someone. Emailed H*rmes - no help. I am raging! How am I supposed to rearrange another delivery (have no idea what is being delivered or I would have contacted that company direct).

If there's a tracking number on it there may get a way in at Hermes europe co uk   tracking. I know you aren't expecting anything, but it may be a start.

It's so annoying when things like this happen, it's bad enough when you're expecting something. Just make sure you don't wait in for them, it's not your problem.

Can you find a phone number online. That is so very annoying.

My post man decided today that it would be a good idea to leave a parcel in my recycling bin. My garage is there, he could have left it at the back door, but no that would be too simple. Why not leave it in a yukky bin.

Only a man.  ::)

Hope you get sorted soon bramble.

If you are not expecting anything Bramble they could have pushed the card through the wrong address?

My Postman sometimes leaves a parcel in the blue bin ( the one you put paper and magazines in, and I am rather glad he does ( this
is only one postie that we know)

With other Posties if we are not in a red card is put through saying where he has left it, this usual happens with other deliveries too, and some where you have to ring to rearrange delivery.

As has been suggested bramble you should look online to contact Hermes and also to say how annoyed you are!

How annoying!  It's 'that time of year' though.  My neighbours had a parcel stuck into their recycling bin  >:( ....... the week it was due for emptying, fortunately they lifted the lid in time  :o

Phoned the number on the card again this morning - Straight to voicemail. Left a message at 10am - no call back as yet. Email service on H*ermes website guarantees a reply within 48 hours. What use is that? I am still spitting feathers!!
Thanks Taz for phone number - no help. Message says to contact retailer. But I don't know who has sent the parcel so I cannot contact them!!!!!!!

HB when our special postie puts leaves a parcel in the blue bin, he always posts a red card through the door with "Parcel in blue bin" on it, he's a treasure :)

We have a special postman too but not in a good way. It took me months when we moved here to get him to put the post in the outside box that we bought and hung next to the front door. He had to walk past it to get to the letter box. I left a note on the door...nope that did not work. I left a bigger note over the letter box.....nope that did not work either. I had to tape over the letter box so he could not open it at all. He must have stood there and listened to my dog eating my letters  ;D. Hence the outside box.

Not the brightest light on the Xmas tree.

Yep, thick as mince as they say up here in Bonnie Scotland. Nice chap and he does get his prezzie but my letter box remains sealed. My dog who is little and very fluffy takes it as a personal insult if anything gets through that door and promptly destroys it.
We have tried to train her but she is as thick as the postman.  ;D

Had a phone call this evening from the courier. She did not get my messages as there 'was a fault with her phone'. She did not reply earlier because it 'was her day off today' (Saturday). She will deliver tomorrow!!!!! I shall wait and see - I am not best impressed. Still have not got a reply from the website, I feel like a dog with a bone!! The only parcel I have outstanding is from H*lland and Barrett. They would not use a courier for 1 jar of vitamins would they? They have always used RM in the past.
