Hi everyone, I am new here and menopause kicked in with gusto a few months ago. My doc put me on HRT last Thursday and by Monday I felt like a new person, back to my old self almost straight away. Is that the norm? I have a few side effects, sore breasts, nausea and some headaches but my cloud has lifted and I am not a crazy woman any more. I am able to cope with my life again , So I can put up with the small side effects...
I was wondering if that was anyone's else's experience?

So pleased for you lizmc!

I found that my horrible hot sweats disappeared within 24 hours of starting patches. Pills usually take longer to begin to work. Don't question it - just enjoy it!

Patches worked really quickly for me too.
Flushes gone within 24 hours. I actually had more energy in about 6 hours.

It worked for me within 24 hours,the hot flushes stopped overnight and the joint pains soon followed. The period like pains also started straight away but nothing to bad, but I found that after a few months I started to feel anxious and had low moods. I stopped taking HRT last week to see how feel without it and so far not too bad but I'm not sleeping as well.
If things don't improve i will go back to my GP and try something eles.

Enjoy feeling normal again!!
