Just started reading "the hunger games" onto book 2 now. I thought they were kids/teenage books, but they are very good

I reading end of the world books about solar flares and what happens after the end of the world asnwenknow it quite an eyes opener, bit gory here and there I've go quite hooked now. Makes all our hormone problems fade away in comparison .

No littleminnie going to listen to it on my Kindle, I have got it recorded though, but want to listen to it first, my daughter and granddaughter ( who love the book) say the TV series is different but it is coming together now.

I thought that Under The Dome book was ok, not S.King's best though and a bit formulaic...... but the tv series is rubbish and nothing like the book, plus iffy acting.I like all books by Kate Atkinson, a brilliant writer [British] and for sheer joy and laugh out loud well written funnyness, [I defy you to NOT laugh out loud!] Mc Carthy's Bar by Pete McCarthy and also The Road to McCarthy by same author [British.] Hope you enjoy.Also just read Before I Sleep  by female British writer, really good and keeps you guessing [nothing nasty in it.]

The reviews that I have have read for both the book and the TV series have been positive , from what I can gather its the creeping sense of unease that makes it so good.

I suppose its horsed for courses, for instance  I love StarTrek "The Next Generation" but the purists say its not really StarTrek, but for me Captain Jean Luc Picard is StarTrek

I apologise panseypotter you were right! I did start to listening to "Under the Dome" and did not like it, it was too gory and did had bad language,

not the sort of book for listening to in bed and wanting to feel relaxed, so I returned it to Audible UK and got my "credit" back.

A book I have just finished listening to and enjoyed Is "The Chaperone" by  Laura Moriarty, read by Eliazabeth McGovern) Downton Abbey "Lady Cora"

Will tell my daughter and granddaughter I was not impressed,  can imagine what they will say

there is a good selection to choose from here, I have a kindle and was browsing some of the reviews for some of your choices when I clicked onto one with high reviews which was called Forty shades of Pearl, I accidently  pressed the wrong button and I had purchased the trilogy and didn't think anything of it  I have done it before.Thought well I might as well give it a go wow, I could feel myself blushing. I haven't read fifty shades of grey cos I thought it was not my type ,I want this man Alexandre Chevalier just for a week or so  has anyone else read this.
