The best time to view is after midnight apparently! Thanks Cazi. Even though I was told this only this afternoon I had already forgotten!!

The best way is to take a rug out with you and lie down - no cricked neck!

A lot of street lighting beside us, so may not see anything.

I'm hoping to stay up & watch it. We don't have a lot of street lighting out the back & we do normally get to see the shooting stars.

They reckon there will be about 60 per hour..... mmmm that's one a minute, & I bet it will be when I decide to blink.

So Taz will you be out in the garden on your back later  :D :D

I'm thinking more of going out into the deep, dark countryside to get a good view - or maybe the pub garden - it's nice and dark out there after hours

The pub garden Taz definitely - it's safer.

Here's a map of best places to watch the night sky - I don't think my pub garden is on there though http://www.darkskydiscovery.org.uk/dark-sky-discovery-sites/map.html

We will just have to "sniff" a pub out then Taz - I'm sure there will be one nearby.
